Our Programming
Community Voice PHL is an award winning talk show that highlights positive, value based programs and services that people of color are engaged in across the nation. We feature stories about individuals who are working to make a positive difference in their communities. We #inform our listeners about events that are happening in various cities and have engaging conversations with amazing people who #inspire our listeners to get involved with building caring and prosperous communities.. As we continue to set the standard for community-centered journalism, it is our hope that through this project, we can continue to develop a listener base that has a high interest in local and national politics and are clear about the importance of being civically engaged.
About the Project
Kitchen tables have long been the place where family and friends come to commune, discuss, disagree, laugh and be in community with one another. it is with this same spirit of that CVR PHL created "Kitchen Table Talks, Philadelphia's Next Mayor". Through a series of small group discussions, Community Voice PHL "Kitchen Table Talks, Philadelphia’s Next Mayor" aims to provide a safe, non-partisan space for city residents, from marginalized groups to talk about the issues that are meaningful to them. The sessions will be recorded, creating an audio and visual archive that will remain active until the end of the general election. The sessions will air on WPPM-LP Philadelphia 106.5FM, Apple Podcast, Youtube ad SoundCloud.
